Information we use

We use information you give us in a form, an email, or a consultation, and information generated while we work on a matter.

  • Name, address, email, and phone number.
  • When you use a form or view our phone number, Google reCAPTCHA checks your browser to block spam. Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy.
  • Identity documents, immigration history, and family details.
  • Financial evidence such as payslips and bank statements.
  • Special-category information where the case needs it, including health and criminal-record information.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details to answer you, on the basis of steps you ask us to take before a contract. Once you instruct us, we use matter information to provide legal services and to meet legal and regulatory duties.

We may receive information from you about other people, such as a sponsor or a child. Please give them this notice. We may also receive information from the Home Office, an employer, a sponsor, a doctor, or a court where that is part of the case.

How long and who sees it

Enquiry emails are kept only as long as we need to respond and to keep a conflict record. Client files are kept for the period our professional duties require, then deleted or archived.

We do not sell personal information. We share it with the Home Office, courts, barristers, translators, and our own IT providers where that is needed to do the work.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction, deletion, restriction, or to object to certain uses. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Some file material is exempt where it is legally privileged.
